WHERE ARE THE CANDIDATES?

THE election date is set for May 4, three weeks to go.

Yet I have not seen anyone canvassing, and no one has called on me so that I may ask a few questions.

No literature describing the aspiring councillors, policies or interests has come through my door.

The same thing happened at the last election.

How are we to know who we want to vote for? By some form of telepathy?

I would like to know why the councillors have voted themselves double the money and made it so hard for their constituents to get at them.

Is this all part of the new policy of open government and easy access that we had a double page spread on in the Evening Advertiser not long ago?

What a lot of hot air!
