Now MP3s are easy to find with Napster

From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Friday 14th Apr 2000.

Due to their questionable legality, MP3s don't usually stay at a web page address for long, so actually finding what you are looking for can sometimes be a very frustrating exercise in reading continual error messages.

That's what makes Napster (www.napster.com) so good.

This has to be one of the most useful pieces of software on the Net.

Anyone who has searched the Web for an elusive MP3 need look no further because Napster uses an ingenious method for finding what you want.

It actually searches a designated folder on the hard drive of anyone else also using the program and at any one time there are around 400,000 MP3 files being shared.

The software is completely free, quick to download and easy to use.

If you are looking for anything from Abba to ZZ Top, you can be almost certain of finding it with Napster.

If you do download an MP3, you should make sure you delete it after you've listened to it in order to stay on the right side of the law.

(Well you can't say we didn't tell you).
