A NEW branch of Amnesty International is being launched in Bradford on Avon next month with a talk by an official investigator from the organisation.
Rod Morgan, an investigator for the international secretariat of Amnesty International and a professor of criminal justice at the University of Bristol, will speak on the subject of investigating torture.
Amnesty International member Wendy Sims, of Bradford, said: As far as I know there is not a group in this area and we want to see who might be interested.
Professor Rob Morgan is quite a well-known figure and will be speaking at our big launch meeting.
The evening is being held in Bradford on Avon library on October 12. Admission is free and the presentation begins at 7.30pm.
