Pedestrian suffers serious injuries

A PEDESTRIAN suffered serious head injuries after being in collision with a car in Corsham last night.

The 44-year-old woman was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol after the accident at just gone 10pm on Saturday night.

She was crossing the road near the junction of the A4 and B3109 at Pickwick when she was in collision with a silver Mazda, driven by a local woman in her seventies.

The pedestrian, from Corsham, was walking from Copenacre to Pickwick when the accident occurred and police are appealing for witnesses.
